2022 NMRA/NMCA racing season continued at Rockingham Dragway in NC where they hosted the All-Star Nationals. Rockingham and the ProMedia Event crew hosted racers and fans alike over last weekend April 22-24.

The crew at Lujan Motorsports enjoyed a multi-win weekend as Willie Lujan’s Fox Body Mustang with a V-7 YSi-B Vortech Supercharger pulling double duty and won not only the True Street class, but also the new 8.60 Street Race class.

Willie Lujan’s True Street class 3 run average of 8.67 in his 1990 Mustang was enough to take the win. And in the 8.60 Street Race group, Lujan qualified #1 and was able to outrun the competition, that included Terry “Beefcake” Reeves in his twin turbo equipped 2018 Mustang, but Lujan kept his V-7 YSi-B supercharger busy and hung onto first place in the 8.60 class as well.

Vortech Superchargers wants to congratulate NMRA True Street & 8.60 class winner Willie Lujan for his wins as we continue racing and moving into the midst of the 2022 season. Also, another notable showing was Vortech Racer Alton Clements Qualifying #1 in Renegade/XS with fastest time with his Mustang running a Vortech V-30 94C blower.
