The Spring 2022 racing season kicked into high gear at Shadyside Dragway in Shelby, NC where they hosted the Radial Tire Racing Association’s Carolina Nitrous Nationals. Shadyside welcomed racers over the weekend of April 15-16 along with spectators, who all wanted to see the various class battles unfold. The weather gods made it a bit more eventful with some rain causing delays on Saturday, but the RTRA staff got the track dry, and racers adjusted their schedules to finish off the event.

As the Limited 235 class at the Shady Side resumed doing what they do best, in the end it was Jason Martin’s Fox Body Mustang with his V-30 91A Vortech Supercharger laying down a 5.04 E.T. with a top speed of 140 beating out Louie Filippides to take home the prize money!

Vortech Superchargers wants to congratulate RTRA Carolina Nitrous Nationals/ Limited 235 class winner Jason Martin for his win as we continue rolling into the 2022 season.
