As Round 5 of Formula DRIFT PRO gains speed and headed to World Wide Technology Raceway, the event win would go to Kazuya Taguchi (Japan) driving his ISR UpGarage/ GT Radial Scion FR-S. While current points leader and Vortech Superchargers driver, Matt Field in his Drift Cave/ Falken Tire C6 Corvette took Third place to maintain the Formula DRIFT PRO class points lead.

As Field continues to get himself onto the podium at 3 out of 5 of the events so far to maintain his lead in Formula DRIFT PRO with 415 points, he pushed his Vortech V-7 YSi-B Supercharger hard in each round to keep the 2022 Championship in sight. With the next FD Event moving to Monroe, WA for Round 6 Aug. 5-6, 2022, Field has a 32-point lead with the next driver on his tail, Fredric Aasbo in second with 383 points and in third is Ryan Tuerck with 380 points.

In the Formula Drift PROSPEC class, Evan Bogovich in his Feal Suspension Nissan S14 took the top spot on the podium with First place. Bogovich is yet another Vortech Supercharger driver running the V-7 YSi-B and apparently it’s paying off for him as he is now in Third place in points! Vortech Superchargers wants to congratulate all of the Vortech Drivers in Formula DRIFT PRO and PROSPEC classes as they continue to win, place and do well in the 2022 FD Championship season.
