The long-awaited start of the 2021 Holley NMRA Ford Nationals began with the 27th Annual BMR Suspension NMRA Spring Break Shootout at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida, over the weekend of March 5-7, 2021. Weather changes from temperate sunshine on Friday to moderate rain on Saturday and even wind on Sunday made for some adjustments in the schedule, but the NMRA staff and racers endured to make sure the event was successfully completed.

As the Renegade class at the NMRA Spring Break Shootout ensued at Bradenton, the Floridian local Bill Gregan and his Fox Mustang captured the #1 spot in qualifying, taking the lead with a 4.566 at 152.90mph pass. Hot on his tail was Vortech Racer Chuck Bartholme of Salisbury, Maryland in the second spot, laying down a 4.576 at 153.58mph.

In the Final round, both staged their ’90 Mustangs and while Gregan (green) had a slight holeshot, Bartholme (blue) poured on the power and unleashed the potent V-30 94C supercharger to drive around his competition to capture the overall win with a 4.557 at 154.21mph time slip.

Vortech Superchargers would like to congratulate 2021 NMRA Spring Break Shootout Renegade class winner Charles “Chuck” Bartholme as he took the win with a 4.557 at 154.21mph victory run.

In Limited Street, Vortech Racer Kent Nine from Syracuse, IN took the Runner up in his Coyote transplanted & Vortech V-7 JT-Trim Supercharged 2006 Mustang Convertible with a run of 8.562 @154.17, coming up a bit short to Samantha Moore's 8.194 @162.68 victory run.
