Tuner Kits
  • The FR-S/BRZ/86 Tuner Kits are available with either the V-3 H67B or the V-2 H/D H67B supercharger for even higher performance with custom tuning (tuner kits do not include fuel components or calibration). Continued development in Vortech's Lab resulted in the H67B Compressor Stage, a design made specifically for the FA20 Boxer engine. The patented oil control system in the V-3 and the heavy duty, or the engine oil-fed lubrication of the V-2 H/D unit, combined with the state of the art centrifugal compressor stage allow this H67B compressor to literally blow away the competition. Industry leading adiabatic efficiency [SAE J1723 standard] means less heat is being generated, drive power is reduced and more net power is produced. Less heat also means better durability. Also, Vortech's supercharger systems weigh less than half of the low-tech competing brands.

  • Tuner Kit Includes:
  • - Gear-driven V-3 or V-2 H/D H67B centrifugal supercharger, designed specifically for the FA20 Boxer engine. Includes 3.48” drive pulley (approximately 9 PSI at factory redline) and helical gear configuration.
  • - The V-3 H67B features an internal oil reservoir. No connection between the oil pan and the compressor gear case is required. Includes a remote fluid drain hose (attached to supercharger) that allows for simple fluid changes without removing the supercharger from the vehicle.
  • - The V-2 H/D H67B is ideal for road racing or higher horsepower builds, and features heavy-duty internals for a higher impeller speed maximum, and engine oil-fed lubrication with a constant supply of fresh oil being supplied to the gears.
  • - Technologically advanced, high-efficiency, 5-Axis machined billet impeller and high-diffusion housing developed in our SAE-J1723-compliant supercharger test cell.
  • - Stylized airbox and filter housing design allows for additional flow, while retaining the factory cold air ram intake. Quick release fasteners allow for simple access to filter for change/cleaning.
  • - Integrated air/air charge cooler configuration features all aluminum tube ducting and an oversized cooler core to provide maximum cooling with minimal pressure loss.
  • - Discharge duct connections utilize heat resistant silicon sleeves and premium quality stainless steel clamps.
  • - CNC machined billet mounting bracketry with black anodized finish for attractive and functional "factory-type" appearance and rigidity.
  • - All necessary belts, pulleys and reusable high-flow air filter.

The new centrifugal supercharging system harnesses Vortech’s proven technology to elevate performance and push the boundaries. With our new tuner kit, the GR86 experiences a dramatic improvement in performance and efficiency, all while preserving reliability and precision synonymous with this high-performance vehicle.

    The system is powered by an internally lubed V-3 H67B supercharger equipped with a 3.60” drive pulley and a G3 helical gear configuration. It features a 5-axis CNC machined billet impeller that is precision balanced to minimize vibrations, thereby enhancing performance and longevity. The manifold boost pressure reaches approximately 6-6.5 psig at redline on the stock engine.
