  • For higher-horsepower, Vortech offers an integrated Air-to-Water Charge Cooler upgrade for the Standard Output System that will increase to horsepower on an otherwise stock 4.0L V6 to 330 HP & 337 TQ @ 10 psi at the factory redline. For even higher output applications, or for vehicles with additional modifications, Vortech also offers and recommends a tuner kit, which does not include a fuel pump, fuel injectors or ECU programmer. This requires you or your installer to provide custom calibration and the required fuel components. The V-2 or V-3 Si-Trim supercharger included with the tuner kit is capable of up to 775HP on modified vehicles. Call Vortech or your dealer for more information.

    COMPLETE SYSTEM

    The 2005-2008 Mustang V6 comes from the factory with 210 horsepower and 254 lb./ft. of torque. This Standard Output (non-cooled) Vortech supercharging system can safely increase this to 290 horsepower and 294 lb./ft. of torque at the factory redline using CA 91 Octane fuel.

    Complete, fully calibrated supercharging systems are available for the Manual and Automatic Transmission 2005-2008 4.0L V6 Mustang, featuring the V-2 or V-3 Si-Trim centrifugal supercharger.

    The S197 Mustang V6 systems utilize the ultra-efficient V-2 or V-3 compressor. Continued development in Vortechs Lab resulted in the V-3 Si-Trim model, which reaches a peak efficiency of 78% (SAE J1723 standard). The "i" stands for improved and with its new patented oil control system and state of the art centrifugal compressor stage these V-2 & V-3 Si-Trim units literally blow away the competition. High efficiency equates to less heat being generated, a reduction in power required to drive the compressor, and more net power being produced as a result. Less heat also equates to superior durability. Also, Vortechs supercharger systems weigh less than half of the low-tech competing brands.

    All V-3 series superchargers have a self-contained lubrication system that makes installation fast and easy.

    It's 100% worth it, 10 out of 10 would do it again. I don't see how I'll ever go back to a N/A V8 car. This is honestly too much fun. The power, the feeling, the sound will get you every time. If you like your N/A car, you'll like it even more boosted.

    Run on Vortech's own Mustang chassis dyno (lower numbers than a comparable Dynojet), the stock Bullitt produced 239 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with the standard Vortech kit, the peak power numbers jumped to 329 hp and 309 lb-ft of torque.
