While the Governors continue to keep race fans from packing the grandstands, fortunately the pent-up racers are now allowed to get back to doing what they do best! Anxious to hit the track the race teams with something to prove were back at it in St. Louis at the Heads-Up Hootenanny Mid-West Pro Mod Series held at World Wide Technology Raceway this past weekend.

Philip Oakley - Top Dragster

Philip Oakley qualified Number 1 in the Top Dragster class and continued to stay focused on the top spot even without any spectators to witness it in person. As the event progressed, Oakley continued to rage on with his V-30 123A Vortech Supercharged rail through the eliminations and then put the hammer down on Matthew Sackman in the final round to take the #1 spot for the weekend! It’s worth noting that the top 3 Qualifiers were all running V-30 Vortech Superchargers on Oakley Motorsports Competition Engines with Philip Oakley at #1, Preston Tanner at #2, and current Champion Danny Nelson at #3.

Earl Stanley / Mike Adams Race Cars - X-275

Earl Stanley and Mike Adams Racecars with Earl Stanley behind wheel accepted the challenge in the X275 class and qualified in the Number 1 spot with a 4.366@164.63 run. Then they cranked up the power of the V-30 102A Vortech Supercharger in their race car to take the win at the event, edging out Eric Moore in the final round.

Stay tuned for more Vortech Supercharged Racing action soon to come!
