Vortech Superchargers sponsored Formula Drift Driver Matt Field takes the top spot on the podium as the Formula DRIFT PRO Championship battle continues going up against Chris Forsberg in the final heat of Round 3 in Englishtown, New Jersey! Vortech Superchargers remain dominant in Formula DRIFT PRO and are now powering the top two points leaders- Field & Bakchis- a true testament to the reliability and repeatability of a Centrifugal Vortech Supercharger!
Now about a third of the way into the 2021 season of Formula DRIFT PRO Championship the drivers continue to battle for more points in the series. When the smoke cleared once again at the end of Round 3, driver Matt Field (USA) in his Falken Tire/ Drift Cave Chevrolet Corvette took the 1st Place position and the points lead using his potent V-7 YSi-B Vortech Supercharger. Second place was Chris Forsberg (USA)- NOS Energy / GT Radial Nissan 370Z and in 3rd place was Fredric Aasbo (Norway)- Rockstar Energy Drink Toyota GR Supra.
This is a great victory for Matt Field in Formula DRIFT PRO 2021 competing in his Falken Tire/ Drift Cave Chevrolet. Now in the top spot, Field is poised and ready to continue the FD battle as they now head into Round 4 in Erie, PA on July 9 &10, 2021.
As Round 3 at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in New Jersey event began, another Vortech Supercharged driver, Aurimas “Odi” Bakchis was the points leader with his Falken Tire/ Feal Suspension Nissan S15. With a loss in a teammate match-up in the second heat, Bakchis ended up with a 9th place finish at this event allowing his Falken Tire teammate Matt Field to take the Championship points lead after his overall win.
