Everyone familiar with Vortech & Paxton knows that we have strong history with Ford vehicles, especially when it comes to Mustangs. So we when were invited to come out for the 55th Anniversary Celebration of the Ford Mustang, we packed our things and headed out to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the event.

The Vortech & Paxton booth was inside the garage area of the show, and our staff was on site ready to answer any and all boost-related questions from the crowd in attendance. Our 1993 Cobra and 2018 GT display vehicles were also a big hit with everyone that came by the booth.

We first saw Jordan's (@hit_it_autosport) 1993 Cobra inside the Convention Center at Mustang Week 2018, and we were honored that he would bring it out to display it in our booth at the 55th. The custom brushed finish V-1 S-Trim setup features the Vortech/Maxflow Air-to-Water Charge Cooler in a smoothed and wire-tucked engine bay. As a testament to the reliability and durability of Vortech products, this system has been on the car for over 21 years without any issues!

Josh (@smoked_magnetic_gt) drove out all the way from Virginia with his Vortech V-7 JT Supercharged 2018 Mustang GT for the Mustang 55th Event. The car was debuting it's new Satin Gold Dust Black vinyl wrap from Laid Not Sprayed Vinyl Workz at the show, and was looking most excellent. Josh can't wait to get the car all dialed in and back out to the track for some deep-into-the-9's runs very soon.

Steve Shrader from Shrader Performance (@shradertuning) is an Authorized Vortech and Paxton Superchargers Dealer, and also had a display at the Mustang 55th event. Known for his talented tuning ability and his penchant for Coyote-Swapping and Vortech Supercharging all manner of things, Shrader had 2 awesome examples of his work on display at the event. His 1999 Mustang GT "Brightmare" is Gen2 Coyote swapped, Vortech V-7 YSi Supercharged, makes over 1,000 RWHP, and Steve manually shifts Brightmare via a T56 Magnum to low 9 second quarter mile times on a regular basis.

The other example of Coyote-Swapped insanity Shrader brought out to the event is his Boat, nicknamed "The Sketchy Coyote". The Gen2 Coyote 5.0L is Supercharged via a Vortech V-7 JT-Trim Supercharger, and makes quadruple-digit horsepower @ 16psi. Considering the power-to-weight ratio in this watercraft is dangerously close to 1HP per lb., it takes a special kind of enthusiast to get behind the throttle. We think it is just about the coolest thing around! Would you take a ride in the Sketchy Coyote?

Another gorgeous example of Coyote-Swapped and Vortech Supercharged goodness at the event was the Project 50/30 1965 Fastback Mustang from CJ Pony Parts (@cjponyparts). Originally built for the 2014 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the decked out classic features an entire catalog of aftermarket parts from brands available through the popular retailer's website.

We found our friend Jon's (@jon_5oh) Paxton NOVI 2200SL Supercharged 2014 Mustang GT sitting low and looking sweet in the Velgen Wheels booth. Jon's car has been one of our favorite 11-14 cars out there since we first saw it a few years ago.

Another car we found in the crowd of Mustangs was Sandi Bradbury's (@sandibradbury) Paxton NOVI 2200SL Supercharged Yellow Blaze Mustang GT.

Although the event was cut short by tornado warnings and inclement weather, we still had a great time at the event and look forward to the next one!
