Vortech has always made an effort to be involved in local community functions.  When the police department invited us to their car show, we made sure to be there. The car show encompassed 4 city blocks sprawling into Oxnard's civic center around the police station.

A colorful variety of automobiles and individuals attended the event. There was everything from low riders to race cars, and from historic vehicles to hot rods.  The police had their DRAGG program on display along with DRAGG's two SEMA Mustangs which have been outfitted with Vortech CARB legal upgrades.

Other local aftermarket automotive manufacturers were also in attendance, our friends at Borla, Wilwood and Vista Ford, all had booths with products on display.

The Murphy Automotive Museum brought a 100 year old Stanley Steam Car to display (and blow off some steam).

Vortech brought some of the most popular superchargers along to display along with the all new Vortech V-30, our most impressive racing supercharger to date. The Schwartz Motors BRZ was in our booth to display our very popular supercharging system for the FRS/BRZ/86 platforms.

At the end of the day, awards were announced by a local radio DJ, and presented by Oxnard's police chief. I think that everyone who attended the event was able to enjoy themself while learning more about a diverse group of cars, and building a positive sense of community around the local PD.  We can't wait to do it again next year.
