From the industry leader in centrifugal supercharger technology, Vortech is proud to offer an exchange program for our loyal customers should they want to step up to a V-1 heavy duty Si, SCi, Ti, or V-7 YSi, YSi-B, JT, or JT-B supercharger. (Please note that the V-7 YSi supercharger's compressor housing is approximately 20% larger than that of a V-1 and may require modification/fabrication of mounting brackets/plates, as well as modifying the intake/discharge ducting.) The program was designed to assist the owner of a V-1 A-Trim, B-Trim, S-Trim, SC-Trim, R-Trim, T-Trim, or V-7 Y-Trim or YS-Trim supercharger to purchase a heavy duty Si, SCi, Ti or V-7 YSi, YSi-B, JT, or JT-B supercharger at a significantly lower price than retail. When a customer returns one of the aforementioned superchargers to Vortech, they will receive a credit for the supercharger (subject to the overall condition of the unit) that can be used only to offset the cost of a new V-1 heavy duty Si, SCi, Ti, or V-7 YSi, YSi-B, JT, or JT-B supercharger. The new supercharger being purchased must be of the same configuration of the supercharger being returned (i.e. curved/straight discharge, cw/ccw rotation). It is important to realize that the V-1 heavy duty Si, SCi, Ti, or V-7 YSi, YSi-B, JT, or JT-B supercharger may or not be the proper size compressor for your application. If you have any questions or concerns, please call our Technical Department for guidance. The V-1 heavy duty Si, SCi, Ti, and V-7 YSi, YSi-B, JT, and JT-B superchargers are designed to be utilized on modified engines with racing in mind, and have the ability to be driven with a cog (gilmer) belt design to achieve maximum performance. In addition, a higher flowing Vortech bypass or blowoff valve, such as the Maxflow Race Bypass/Blowoff Valve, Maxflow Mondo Bypass Valve, or Maxflow BV57 Valve (depending on your application) must be utilized to prevent compressor surge. The mounting brackets should be sufficiently rigid to minimize flex and/or vibration under racing conditions as well. Please refer to the Vortech Racing Owner's Manual for information on installation and operating parameters for years of trouble-free enjoyment. At this time, only the above mentioned superchargers are to be included in the program. We reserve the right to modify the program at any time without prior notice.

The Program

When exchanging a supercharger, the owner of the supercharger must contact the Vortech Service Department and receive a Return Authorization Number prior to shipping the unit. Vortech Authorized Dealers and Distributors are allowed to handle exchanges for their customers (subject to Vortech approval), but are required to furnish their customers name, address, and phone number when receiving a Return Authorization Number. Once the supercharger is received at Vortech it will be given a cursory visual inspection and the owner will be contacted as to the amount of credit he/she will be issued toward their new supercharger purchase. There are currently two categories that determine the overall condition of the supercharger and the credit to be issued. They are described as Class "A" and Class "B" exchanges and are explained in detail in the following text.

Class "A":

In order to qualify as a Class "A" exchange, the supercharger must be a qualifying V-1 A-Trim, B-Trim, S-Trim, SC-Trim, R-Trim, T-Trim, or V-7 Y-Trim or YS-Trim supercharger, in good running and working condition, internally and externally. The supercharger will receive a cursory visual inspection and spun to check its overall condition. All major components of the supercharger must be in good working and visual condition. Major components are defined as the following: gearcase, gearcase cover, drive gear, input shaft, impeller shaft, compressor housing and impeller. If the supercharger qualifies as a Class "A" exchange, the owner of the supercharger will receive an in-house credit, which will be applied toward the purchase of a new V-1 heavy duty Si, SCi, TI, or V-7 YSi, YSi-B, JT, or JT-B supercharger. The credit will be in the amount of $1,000.00, which will be deducted from the retail price of the new supercharger being purchased.

Class "B":

In order to qualify as a Class "B" exchange, the supercharger must be a qualifying V-1 A-Trim, B-Trim, S-Trim, SC-Trim, R-Trim, T-Trim, or V-7 Y-Trim or YS-Trim supercharger, returned assembled, with all of its major components, as listed previously and may or may not be in good working and/or visual condition. The supercharger will receive a cursory visual inspection and spun to check its overall condition. Generally, a supercharger being returned that has failed to some degree will be classified as a Class "B" exchange. Examples include, but are not limited to, the unit does not spin, the unit is hard to spin or exhibits a low pitched growling sound when spun, the impeller has contacted the compressor housing, etc. If the supercharger qualifies as a Class "B" exchange, the owner of the supercharger will receive an in-house credit, which will be applied toward the purchase of a new V-1 heavy duty Si, SCi, Ti, or V-7 YSi, YSi-B, JT, or JT-B supercharger. The credit will be in the amount of $500.00, which will be deducted from the retail price of the new supercharger being purchased.

Any supercharger returned which is disassembled or missing major components, as previously defined, will not receive any credit and will not be considered for this program.

The owner of the supercharger will be responsible for the net cost of the supercharger (retail price minus the credit) as well as all return shipping costs. Shipping and payment for the supercharger are subject to the current Vortech policies in effect at the time of purchase.

The supercharger returned to Vortech for this program will become the property of Vortech once a new supercharger has been shipped. The owner of the returned supercharger gives up all rights and foreseeable responsibilities associated with the returned supercharger unit.

All V-1 heavy duty Si, SCi, TI, and V-7 YSi, YSi-B, JT, and JT-B superchargers come with a standard Six Month Limited Warranty. The owner of the new supercharger should review the Racing Owner's Manual enclosed with the supercharger prior to installation of the unit. If you have any questions or concerns regarding supercharger compressor sizing, mounting, impeller speeds, bypass/blowoff valves, etc., please contact Vortech directly or your local Vortech Authorized Dealer/Distributor for technical assistance.

Thank you for choosing Vortech Engineering for your supercharging needs.
