Jeff Godwin - 235 Limited

Jeff Godwin and his Vortech V-7 YSi Supercharged Fox Body Mustang GT came to Bandimere Raceway already on a high note, coming off his recent win in St. Louis. Interested in making it a streak, Jeff and crew took the win and continue to show what it takes to get it done in the 235 Limited Class.Jeff climbed through the 235 Limited field, first taking out Mario Villegas in his '70 Plymouth GTX, then went up against David Meyer and his '99 Mustang, before finally meeting Wendy Schaeffer and her '69 Chevy Nova in the finals. Godwin turned in a 5.761 @ 122.30mph to Schaeffer's 5.836 @ 121.43mph for the win, and the 235 Limited victory.

Andrew Osborne - Outlaw 8.5

Andrew Osborne continues to accelerate their program, further dialing in their '91 Mustang and getting faster and faster all the time. This time at Bandimere Raceway, Osborne put his stamp on it by setting the fastest E.T record on 8.5 tires, at 4.836 seconds. This achievement is even more remarkable, considering the race is at 5,800' elevation without adjustments. The run puts Osborne in contention for the Outlaw 8.5 Championship as well.

Andrew Osborne's official new 8.5 record on the mountain:
1.222 60’
3.197 330’
4.836 1/8th
150.13 mph

Andrew normally runs a Vortech V-30 112A, but this weekend he was using his trusty V-30 105A. The combo appears to have what it takes, carrying him all the way to the finals against Jason Mclean. Unfortunately, a loss of lane choice put him into the left lane, where all cars in the finals seemed to have traction issues. Osborne roasted the tires right off the line, and had to settle for runner-up.
