Over the weekend in Hebron, Ohio, NMRA racers descended on the recently renovated National Trail Raceway for the 14th Annual NMRA Ford Super Nationals. There, after an exciting weekend of racing action, Vortech Supercharged racers came away holding yet another record, and yet another victory.

Terry "Beefcake" Reeves

Terry "Beefcake" Reeves is no stranger to breaking records on the racetrack with his Mustangs. In fact, with three Super Bowl rings and multiple firsts under his belt, Beefcake has become a name synonymous with the sport, and with boosted Coyotes across the board. This weekend in Ohio, Terry claimed the record for fastest factory 6R80 automatic transmission equipped S550 with a 8.705 @ 160.44mph in his street car. That's right, the Vortech YSi-B Supercharged bright yellow S550 is what Terry drives around on the street regularly.

Of course, going that fast in an index class can prove to be problematic, and indeed it was for Terry, as the record setting E.T. eclipsed his dial-in time by over half a second!  But not to worry, Terry still celebrated his new record is true Beefcake fashion...by cooking up a plate of bacon of course!There is no doubt that Beefcake is entertaining no matter what he drives, and no matter what class he drives it in. Alton Clements, Jr.

In Renegade, Alton Clements, Jr. put the field on notice early with a #1 qualifying run of 7.45 @ 185.08 mph. Equipped with the all new Vortech V-30 94B Supercharger, Clements was the only Renegade car in the 7.40 range the whole weekend. Clements charged through the pack to the finals, where he met Brian Mitchell, who was piloting Adam Arndt's Mustang. There, Clements completed his flawless victory, and claimed the win with a 7.487 @ 184.35 run over Mitchell’s lifting 10.27.
