What better way to bring the 2016 NMRA season to an end than with the 18th Annual Nitto Tire NMRA World Finals in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Racers from all over converged on Beech Bend Raceway for the final chance this season to blast their Fords down the track.

Alton Clements, Jr.

Alton Clements ended the season in Kentucky nearly clenching a Championship, earning himself the Runner-Up spot in Renegade, finishing #2 in points by a narrow margin. Even while Clements was chasing engine combination gremlins from a new combo, his V-27 YSi-B-X never skipped a beat, providing unsurpassed efficiency and consistency. In a season that saw Clements earn multiple #1 Qualifier spots, Event Wins, and leading in points for the majority of the season, you can bet they will only continue to build on their successes into next season and beyond.  Alton and Vortech Superchargers couldn’t be happier to be racing together and look forward to a Championship next season.

Chris Groves

Chris Groves and his Vortech V-28 112 Supercharged Fox Body Mustang came to Bowling Green with the intention to smash records and take names. Unfortunately, Groves had suspension issues all weekend and was unable to perform to his expectations. Look for more from Chris Groves next year as he will be campaigning in more NMRA and X275 events across the country.

Team Beefcake Racing debuted a new engine combination, chassis modifications, and Vortech livery this past season, as well as entered the Renegade Racing class.  A culmination of these things brought Terry to a tumultuous season in Renegade to say the least.  After setting the record for fastest Supercharged Coyote in the world with his V-27 YSi-B-X Supercharged 2011 GT right off the trailer in Commerce, GA, Beefcake had a series of freak occurrences that resulted in multiple damaged engine combinations, including a colossal wheel stand in Joliet that crushed the oil pickup when the pan smacked the ground on re-entry and caused oil starvation throughout the engine. Expect a lot of new and different things from Terry and Team Beefcake Racing next season, as he’ll be back looking to smash more records and climb more podiums with a vengeance.  As in the past and many years to come, Vortech and Team Beefcake Racing will continue to run the Coyote Game.

Chuck Bartholme

Coming back from a 5 year hibernation, Chuck Bartholme came storming into Renegade with his Vortech V-27 YSi-B-X Supercharged 370 cubic inch Ford, taking the win in Renegade at National Trail Raceway in Ohio just his 3rd race back after resuming his racing career. Bartholme will be yet another racer that the competition will have to keep their eye on next season, as he looks to charge the ranks once again.

With unmatched efficiency and superior engineering behind each and every supercharger we design, it is no wonder that some of the most successful racers in the NMRA run Vortech. Look for many award winning and record breaking outings from Vortech supercharged racers coming up next season.
