The 2017 Formula Drift Season came to a close this past weekend with Round 8 at Irwindale Speedway, and when the smoke cleared (quite literally), Vortech Supercharged driver Aurimas "Odi" Bakchis had earned enough points to capture 3rd place overall for the season. Bakchis' road to the championship saw him with multiple podium finishes, including a win in New Jersey for Round 4.

Bakchis and fellow Vortech Supercharged Falken teammate Matt Field both faced their fair share of troubles this season, with collisions, broken parts, and various other hurdles and mishaps that culminated in hard earned 3rd and 17th place finishes.
